Several of you have asked, so I need to let you all know that yes, I changed
Kortlen's surgery! It will now be on Friday, March 20, a much more suitable day if you ask me. We don't have a time yet, but would love it if you would say a few prayers between now and then for
Kortlen, the surgeon (Dr. Hunter) and ME! I know it is routine surgery, but he is cutting and reattaching the muscles on my baby's eyes, so needless to say I will be stressed. We are having to do both eyes but the healing time and pain is supposed to be minimal. I will keep you all updated on this.
We did surgery with Dr. Hunter when Wake was 20 months old and it was as easy as surgery can be. Dr. Hunter was wonderful. They gave him some "sleepy" medicine and let us stay with him in the back until he was just about asleep in our arms. DR. Hunter came and picked him up in his arms and walked him to the OR. Less than an hour later he carried Wake in his arms, IV bag over his shoulder, to us in a recovery room where we held him until we could go home. Don't worry! God will have her in his hands, just like she said!!
